Balicasag is a small island off the coast of Panglao Island, Bohol. It is a marine sanctuary with white sand beach and amazing corals in the deep water. If you are in Luzon, take a plane going to Tagbiliran City. If you are in Visayas or Mindanao area, you can ride a fast ferry, a boat or a plane going to Tagbiliran City.  

       From Tagbiliran City you can ride a car, motorcycle or a tricycle going to Panglao Island specifically in Alona Beach. There you will find many motorized boats that will ferry you to Balicasag island.  The rates around 1,600 per boat for a round. The price of the boat can be change.

Siquijor is a located in the Central Visayas region. A 5th provincial income class island in the Philippines. During the Spanish colonial period of the Philippines, the Spaniards called the Island “Isla del Fuego” (Island of Fire). Siquijor is associated with mystic traditions that the islands growing tourism industry.

You can see at the picture that is the Cambugahay Falls in Siquijor, the most famous falls in the island and a large number of tourist enjoys the fascinating atmosphere. Some locals within the island enjoy spending their time in the mystical waterfall together with their friends and family.

Going to the enchanting waterfalls, its very easy to reach, no long hike needed. From the Parking area, there’s a sign leading you to the waterfalls. You’ll just to go down in a stairs, it  will take you around 5-10 minutes. The water is very clear and blue and you can swim and you can also jump from the top of the falls since the base is deep enough.

Short History of Cebu

               The name “Cebu”, comes from the old Cebuano word sibu or sibo (trade), a shortened form of sinibuayng hingpit (the place of trading). In 1521 Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer began a period of Spanish exploration and colonization. Arriving in Cebu City, Rajah Humabon or the King of Cebu and his wife were given christian names and baptized as Carlos and Juana.   2. It was believed that Ferdinand Magellan planted the wooden cross which mark the spot were some 800 natives were baptized into the Catholic faith. The chapel housing is currently part of the Seal of Cebu City.  This chapel housing is open to the public.
